Bonnie opened Vivid Salon in 2007 with a team of dedicated stylists, embarking on an incredible journey of growth and new adventures. With a career in the industry since 2001, Bonnie thrives on the constant evolution and changes in the field.

In 2005, Bonnie earned her American Board Certification as a colorist, joining an elite group of hairstylists specializing in color, and was the 1159th in the world to achieve this distinction. This expertise, combined with her Redken Certified Colorist status, fuels her passion for hair color. Bonnie also excels in delivering exceptional haircuts and styles.

Bonnie’s commitment to continuous education not only enhances her own skills but also helps her mentor and develop her salon team into outstanding artists. She takes immense pride in nurturing her team’s growth, ensuring they reach their full potential.

In her free time, Bonnie enjoys kayaking with her family and aspires to become a yoga instructor one day.

Emily Back has been a vital part of Vivid Salon since its opening in 2007. With over a decade of experience as a stylist, she is a proud graduate of Avara’s Academy of Hair Design. Emily is dedicated to ongoing education, both within and outside the salon. She has participated in Creative Sessions with Sam Villa in Salt Lake City, multiple Redken Symposiums, and frequently attends specialized classes to stay current with her favorite aspects of hairstyling. She believes that education is essential for keeping up with the latest industry trends and strives to be the best she can be.

Emily excels in coloring hair and has a keen eye for style and design. She specializes in fashion color, corrective color, and precise haircuts. Her certifications include Redken Specialist, Keratin Complex, and Pravana Color. Emily’s creativity extends beyond the salon; in her spare time, she enjoys making art, watching crime shows and horror films, and caring for her plants and beloved pets.

Brandy has been with Vivid Salon since day one in 2007. She studied barbering at the Fila Academy- a Paul Mitchell partner school. Brandy began her career as a colorist in 2005. She specializes in cutting all textures of hair, coloring, and providing Keratin Smoothing treatments. Her devotion to her clients over the years has allowed her to develop a special bond with every one of them. She likes to think of her clients and salon team as family.

Allie is a seasoned professional and a proud graduate of Empire Beauty School. With many years of experience at Vivid Salon beginning in 2016, she has become a skilled level 4 stylist proficient in all hair types. Allie stays current with evolving trends and is always eager to learn new techniques in this dynamic industry.

Her true passion lies in hair coloring, and she finds immense joy in making her clients feel beautiful after every service. Allie ensures that each client leaves her chair feeling confident and satisfied. She also takes pride in educating her clients about their hair and how to maintain its health and integrity.

Outside of the salon, Allie cherishes family time with her three children and enjoys moments of relaxation whenever she can.

V is a proud graduate of The Temple: A Paul Mitchell School in Annapolis and has been a valued member of Vivid Salon since the fall of 2018. Passionate about continuous growth and learning new techniques, V stays current with the latest trends to ensure clients receive the best and most stylish looks.

V’s favorite aspect of being a stylist is making people feel great about themselves. Dedicated to creating a positive experience, V ensures that every client leaves the salon feeling confident and beautiful.

Outside of the salon, V enjoys spending time with an adorable cat named Luna, traveling, and relaxing at the beach. V looks forward to meeting new clients and helping them achieve their hair goals!

Jessica has been a vibrant part of the hair industry since 2017, and Vivid Salon has become her home away from home. She specializes in fantasy color and highlights, creating a diverse range of looks from chunky and bold to blended and natural.

With a touch of science and a bit of magic, Jessica’s passion is to ensure her clients feel pampered and look their best before leaving the salon. Her dedication to her craft and her clients’ satisfaction shines through in every service she provides.

Amber is passionate about the hair industry, combining her natural talent with a strong motivation to grow and master her craft. She continually enhances her knowledge and skills by staying up-to-date with trends through both virtual and hands-on continuing education.

Amber offers a wide range of services, from custom color work to tailored haircuts, each personalized for her guests. She values the trust and relationships built with her clients, believing these connections are essential.

Caroline is a licensed cosmetologist and a Level 2 stylist at Vivid Salon, with a passion for all things color, from vibrant fashion hues to low-maintenance balayages. Known for her keen eye and meticulous attention to detail, Caroline provides a customized beauty experience for each client.

Beyond her love for color, Caroline is dedicated to helping others grow. Her business acumen and mentoring skills make her a valuable mentor for Associate and Level 1 stylists. She attended The Temple: A Paul Mitchell School in Annapolis before joining the Vivid team.

In her spare time, Caroline enjoys spending time with friends, creating charcuterie boards, and going to the gym.

Kayla has always known she wanted to be a hairstylist, influenced by her mother, grandmother, and aunt. It seems like a path she was destined to follow. “I’ve always been an artist, creating things wherever I can, whether that’s with cake decorating, painting canvases, drawing, hair, and now doing makeup,” Kayla shares.

With 12 years as a licensed cosmetologist and 10 years as a certified makeup artist, Kayla specializes in coloring, blonding, fantasy colors, color corrections, makeup application, waxing, extensions, and razor/mens/women’s haircuts. Throughout her career, she has worked at many salons but has found her true home at Vivid Salon.

In her spare time, Kayla enjoys baking, lifting, attending metal shows, raves, and festivals, watching horror films, and listening to suspenseful podcasts.

Rachel has been a valued member of Vivid Salon since 2020. After graduating from Empire Beauty School, she began her career as Bonnie’s associate and is currently a Level 1 stylist. Rachel is passionate about making her clients feel beautiful and confident by helping them achieve their hair goals.

Specializing in vivid colors, balayage, braiding, and blowouts, Rachel delights in seeing her clients’ reactions to their new cuts or colors at the end of each service. She looks forward to meeting and welcoming all new clients to her chair.

In 2020, as life came to a halt, it gave Fae, the opportunity to reflect on their career path. Having felt lost for a while, a suggestion to pursue cosmetology illuminated their way forward. Wondering why they hadn’t thought of it sooner, Fae enrolled at Empire Beauty School. After a year of study, they earned their license in September 2021 and joined Vivid Salon in December of that year.

Fae began their journey at Vivid Salon as an associate, gaining invaluable experience that has helped them grow as a stylist. They started taking their own clients in July 2021 and is on their way to becoming a full-time stylist. Fae is officially Barbicide certified and has taken various classes both in and outside the salon to further their education and develop their skills.

Mikayla is an up-and-coming stylist who looks forward to helping you with all of your hair needs! Mikayla recently graduated from The Temple in 2022 and obtained a Cosmetology license in November of 2022. She began her career at Vivid as an Associate Stylist. She continues to develop her craft with continued education in the Associate’s program at Vivid. The Associate’s program has provided her with skills to utilize new techniques, how to develop a business behind the chair, and ways to create comfortable relationships with her guests. Mikayla decided to get into the industry to continue being creative all while working a flexible schedule.

Her favorite service to perform is hair color services because of the endless possibilities you can create. Mikayla’s goal is to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience with you in her chair! I learned at a young age how much creativity I have. Growing up, I was very involved with anything that had to do with the arts. Choir, dance, theatre, painting, sculpting, you name it and I’m all over it. Like everyone else, I’ve always thought about who I was and what I wanted to be. During my sophomore year in high school, it became very apparent how much I loved the feeling I got when I dolled myself and others up for a performance or splashed fun colors on a piece of paper. I knew then that I had so much passion and experience to bring my talents together and become a hairstylist.

After I graduated from high school, I attended The Temple in Annapolis and completed my studies in June of 2022. I now have accomplished my first year as a stylist with Vivid. Being here, I would say my favorite thing about Vivid Salon is the unity and how much the teams care about everyone who comes in. This is the perfect environment that has helped me grow my technique and confidently give my guests what they want. Which is to feel beautiful! Continuing my time with Vivid, I’d love to try new practices or techniques with current and oncoming guests in my chair!

Jordan has been passionate about creativity since childhood, always finding joy in expressing herself through various artistic outlets. With a deep commitment to empowering others, she takes pride in enhancing her clients’ confidence and self-esteem through her styling work. A recent graduate of Cat North Barber School in June 2024, Jordan is excited to launch her career in the beauty industry.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Jordan is an avid traveler, embracing new experiences and cultures wherever she goes. She has been riding horses since the age of seven, which has instilled in her a sense of discipline and connection with nature. In her downtime, Jordan enjoys listening to music, with favorite artists like Morgan Wallen and Post Malone providing the perfect soundtrack to her life. With her unique blend of creativity, passion, and dedication, Jordan is poised to make a significant impact in the world of hairstyling.
