Sami Roberts and Brooke Shunatona from Cosmopolitan Magazine State, “2022 hair trends were all about 90’s throwbacks, curly shags, and blunt bangs.” (2022) The most popular hair colors for 2022 were subtle coppers, platinum blondes, sunkissed balayage, strawberry highlights, solid dimensional colors. 2022 showed us how we could create effortless styles that looked like we put in the work. Last year brought us the Wolfe cut, curtain bangs, center part bobs, and several lived-in looks with those bouncy blowouts.

Moving into 2023 you can continue to see that effortless hair with a twist. According to Annie Blay, be on the lookout for “ the 70s-inspired looks like the shaggy bowl cut, the octopus with whispy bangs, the layered curve cut, the shag, the mixie, short afro’s, the box bob and the butterfly cut.” (2022) It’s amazing how a simple change to your hair color or haircut can completely change what you look like. The hottest hair color trends to be on the lookout for according to Calin Van Paris are “warmer platinum, subtle cinnamon, beige blondes, rich chocolate, and vampy reds.” (2022)
